Kati Kallio
​Artistic Director

Dance artist, dance filmmaker and dance teacher Kati Kallio has been one of the key people behind Loikka festival for all of its history. Kati's previous responsibilities with Loikka included overseeing the festival's audience outreach programs as well as organizing dance film screenings and workshops for schoolchildren and students. Additionally, she curates screenings for Loikka's partner festivals. Suvi Nousiainen
Producer, publicist

Suvi is a culture enthusiast with a background in studying arts and media and working in film industry and festivals in Helsinki and in Copenhagen. She has graduated with a Master of Arts degree from the University of Helsinki. She likes drinking tea while working and on her free time she enjoys films, literature, art exhibitions, improving her Danish skills and dancing every now and then.

Hanna Pajala-Assefa
LoikkaPro coordinator

Choreographer-dancer Hanna Pajala-Assefa is the founder and the former Artistic Director of Loikka Dance Film from 2008 to 2012. Hanna has worked widely as a choreographer, dancer and a producer of dance. She has choreographed stage and site-specific pieces and has worked as a director and choreographer in dance short films and video installations as well as in the performance arts. At Loikka, she oversees the festival's series of LoikkaPro seminars for dance and cinema professionals.

Iisa-Noora Leppänen
Production Assistant

Iisa-Noora is a soon to be graduate student of television and radio production. During the past years she has gained versatile experience working in the production of television as well as festivals. Iisa-Noora has also toured at different festivals with her own short documentary and is constantly planning making her second documentary film. Besides films Iisa-Noora enjoys different cultural events and cooking.

Milla Olkkonen
Communications Assistant

Milla studies journalism and enjoys working with arts and culture. As a journalist she has gained experience writing articles mostly related to films. Milla is inspired by different events, experiences and people, and on her free time she likes to do pole dance.

Beniamino Borghi  
Festival & 60secondsdance coordinator

Dancer, choreographer, filmmaker, graphic designer, interior architect, beach guitar player, italian tortellini cook, carpenter, high tech addict, professional happy complainer. Currently he works as a dance artist and choreographer in Finland and develops interactive multimedia performances. At Loikka, Beniamino's responsibilities include overseeing film and media traffic, coordinating 60secondsdance competition in Finland, helping coordinate the festival's program and various events, and serving as Master Dancer of Parties.

Kimmo Alakunnas
Outreach coordinator

​Actor, dancer, choreographer and dance filmmaker Kimmo Alakunnas has studied dance and choreography at Theatre Academy Helsinki and graduated in spring 2010 as Masters of Art. Kimmo has worked as an actor, dancer, choreographer and short film director. His previous works have mostly been dance performances for live audiences, dance short films and video art for theater pieces.

Iván Kubinyi
Film traffic coordinator & projectorist

Iván is the man behind the machines. He’s been making sure that all the films run smoothly during the festival since 2013. That’s also the year he graduated from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences with a degree in Media Engineering. Now he’s getting his Master’s in Information Networks, which blends technology and social science. Part-time student, part-time web developer and free-time guitar hero, Ivan’s passion for films, music and technology all come together in his role at Loikka: night-time projectionist.
