Nuorten tekijöiden ääni kuuluu vahvana Loikassa! Loikka esittää ensimmäistä kertaa taideopiskelijoiden teoksia omissa näytöksissä. Mukaan haki 27 elokuvaa 12 maasta, joista useampi oli päättötyönä valmistuneita lyhytelokuvia.
Valitut 11 elokuvaa tarjoavat kaikki oman kiehtovan maailmansa ja osoittavat nuorenpolven vahvasta esiinmarssista tanssielokuvan parissa. Elokuvien teemat kumpuavat ihmisen universaaleista tarpeista. Teosten päähenkilöt käyvät läpi mm. yksinäisyyttä, muukalaisuutta, yhteyttään yhteiskuntaan, jumalaan ja toiseen ihmiseen. Myös kepeyttä on luvassa. Loikan ammattilaisraati palkitsevat näytöskokonaisuudesta yhden elokuvan Loikka Student Awards -kunniamainilla. Näytöksen kokonaiskesto 50 min + yleisökeskustelu |
Loikka brings the voice of young filmmakers to the forefront! This year's festival will be the first to present works of art students in a separate screening. A total of 27 films from 12 countries were submitted, many of which were short films realised as final year projects.
The 11 films selected for screening introduce viewers to fascinating worlds, each different from the other, and speak of the steady emergence of a younger generation of filmmakers in dance film. The films' themes are based on universal human needs. The main characters examine feelings of loneliness and alienness, as well as their own connection with society, God and other human beings. Festival visitors can also look forward to more light-hearted films. From all the works featured in the screening, Loikka's jury of film professionals will select one film for an honourable mention, the Loikka Student Award.
